An optometrist is a health care professional who has earned a degree of Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) after completing a course of study at an approved college of optometry. Optometrists begin their training with completion of a Bachelor's degree program at an undergraduate college followed by four years at an accredited college of optometry.
Steven R. Demko, O.D.

Dr. Steven R. Demko has been practicing in the Poconos for over 15 years. In 1989 he joined John LiVecchi, a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and Randell Peairs, A Board Certified Retinal Specialist. Dr. Demko later purchased the practice from Dr. John LiVecchi in 1995. He then relocated the practice to 9 Fork Street to make way for expansions.
Dr. Demko specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease, pediatric eye health care, contact lenses, and general routine vision.
He is a board-certified optometrist by the American Board of Optometry and a member of several optometric societies including The American Optometric Association, The Pennsylvania Optometric Association, and Northeastern Pennsylvania Optometric Association.
He completed his internships at Scheie Eye Institute along with clinical internships at the Fitzsimons Army Medical Center, the Laurel Eye Clinic (concentration in the diagnosis and treatment of ocular disease), and Lynch Pediatric Unit (concentration in diagnosis and treatment of binocular anomalies).
Dr. Demko obtained his optometric degree from Pennsylvania College of Optometry, and received his Bachelor's degree from Wilkes University.
After graduating, Dr. Demko practiced with Dr. Harold Goldfarb, a board certified Corneal Specialist, Lisa Bunin, a board certified Plastic Surgeon, And Daniel Ross, A board certified Retinal Specialist at Allentown Eye Associates.
Dr. Steven R. Demko has been practicing Optometry in PA for over 20 years. He is always furthering his education and his familiarity with the forefront of optical and medical treatments, and maintains an emphasis on nutrition in the overall care and keeping of your eyesight and health.
Dr. Demko is currently speaking internationally, retirement communities and Medical Conferences explain how regular eye exams and good nutrition can benefit the longevity and lifelong preservation of eyesight. He is an avid reader, is an Apple Enthusiast and loves to learn new ideas about life and medicine.
He is also very active in many community organizations including Business Networking International, the Nazareth Chamber of Commerce, and the Nazareth Chamber Health and Wellness Committee.
Marino C. Saveri, O.D.

In 2008, Dr. Marino C. Saveri joined Professional Eye Associates, working primarily out of the Brodheadsville office at BK Plaza.
He specializes in primary eye care; areas of special interest include detection and treatment for glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts, and diabetic retinopathy. He also specializes in contact lenses, vision training, and sports vision.
He completed his internships at Matossian Eye Associates (concentration in primary eye care and post-operative care of cataract surgery), The Eye Institute (concentration in advanced pediatrics with clinical honors), Huntington Valley Eye Care Consultants (concentration in contact lens fitting and dispensing with clinical honors), and the Allentown VA Optometry Clinic (concentration in low vision exams and emergency care).
Dr. Saveri obtained his optometric degree from Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 2008, and received his Bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Pennsylvania in 2000. He graduated valedictorian from Pius X High School in 1996.
Dr. Saveri is active in many community organizations including Knights of Columbus, Unico National, and the Lions Club.
Philip A. Sabetti, O.D.

Dr. Philip Sabetti graduated from Pius X High School and attended Moravian College where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology. Dr. Sabetti attended the Pennsylvania College of Optometry and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Ocular Science and a Doctor of Optometry degree.
After graduation, Dr. Sabetti started his optometric practice, Nazareth Eye Associates, in Nazareth, PA where he practiced for 38 years. He also owned and operated Resident Eye Care Associates, which provided vision care to 13 nursing home centers and Assisted Care facilities.
Dr. Sabetti is a Diplomat of the National Board of Examiners of Optometry, a member of the American Optometric Association, Pennsylvania Optometric Association, and the Lehigh Valley Optometric Association.
